Celebrate National Train Day at the Oregon Rail Heritage Center
National Train Day: May 9 & 10, 10:00am-6:00pm Get ready for two full days of steam, history, and railroad excitement at the Oregon Rail Heritage Center’s annual National Train Day Celebration! This year, we’re going bigger—with two action-packed days of family fun, historic locomotives, and unforgettable railroading experiences, on Saturday, May 9 and Sunday, May 10. There will be something for everyone to enjoy, including: • SP 4449 and SP&S 700 under steam • Cab tours of these legendary locomotives • Turntable demonstrations • Model railroad displays from local clubs and enthusiasts • Food trucks and refreshments • Family-friendly activities • Opportunities to explore the museum and rail yard • And plenty of railroading excitement all weekend long! Want to make your Train Day visit even more memorable? Hop aboard for a steam-powered excursion behind the historic Polson #2 locomotive and enjoy a ride you won’t soon forget. General admission for Train Day festivities is $5 per person and free for infants under 3 and ORHC members. Train rides start at $25 for adults and $15 for children and include event admission.
