About Us

Kickstar is a power rock trio based out of the central Willamette Valley of Oregon. People from all over the world are taking notice of this band.

Their original music is of the rock and hard rock variety blending seamlessly into their extensive cover playlist ranging from the ‘60s classic era through the modern rock of today.

Their sound is massive, driving and crisp, topped with sweet female vocal harmony.

The band also enjoys performing acoustic works in intimate settings with 6 and 12 string guitars.

So who are these freaks, you ask?

Fronting the band on lead vocals, bass and acoustic guitar is Dana Hughes. She has a dynamic vocal range and stage presence while holding down the groove on bass or gently strumming her acoustic guitar. Her voice may give you chills with angelic melodies or growling out great covers of Pat Benetar or Joan Jett.


On Drums is Sean Bowen, an inspirational ThunderGod from the netherworld of Drum creation. Sean descended with laser precision right into our midst and added the perfect star to our constellation.

Joining the band in 2024, Sean's clocklike timing and thunderous-chest-pounding drum work pumps the energy of Kickstar's music up to heights, some are saying like never seen before in the history of rock and roll.

On electric and acoustic guitars is Jimi Hughes. This tech wiz blends his IT skills with his guitar prowess to bring a great rock show to all venues.

On stage, Jimi is fun to watch, and usually has a cadre of other musicians staring down his fingers on the fretboard while smoke puffs out of them.
