Frontier Heritage Fair
Explore the history of the Oregon Country from early interface with Native Americans to the days of railroading at the Frontier Heritage Fair. The event includes historical re-enactors, displays, and demonstrations of artifacts and replicas of items used in the everyday lifeways of people in Oregon before the 1870’s. Learn about stone artifacts, fur trapping, spinning & weaving, quilting, military life, blacksmithing, wood turning, black powder muzzleloading, historic clothing, beadworking, other crafts and kids activities. Traders will have finished items and supplies for the various skills and crafts available for sale. Folk music by the Oregon Old Time Fiddlers will be ongoing. A Pendleton Blanket and other items will be raffled off near closing on Sunday.
